About Fortaleza San Felipe
La Fortaleza San Felipe es una fortaleza colonial espanola del siglo XVI construida en 1577 sobre un promontorio rocoso frente al Oceano Atlantico en Puerto Plata. Es la estructura militar europea mas antigua en pie del Nuevo Mundo y alberga un pequeno museo con canones, armas y objetos de la epoca colonial. Situada al final del Malecon, es el monumento imprescindible de cualquier city tour por Puerto Plata.
